Pitty, a young singer of 28, has conquered Brazil with her first album “Admirável Chip Novo” (2003) which gained critical acclaim and commercial success, selling 250 thousand copies. Following this success, she went on to sell 45 thousand copies of her DVD “Admirável vídeo Novo” (2004).After a rather exhausting tour, she released “Anacrónico” (August 2005), an album produced by Rafael Ramos and mixed by Brian Gardner in L.A. Gardner is known for his work with names such as David Bowie and The Foo Fighters. In only 5 months the album sold 70 thousand copies, gaining the respect of the trade press and Brazilian rock veterans. Pitty confessed that “this album is a natural progression of the first one. It allowed us to do things we had wanted to do with the first album but we didn’t have the know-how to do.”
